A noble escape
in a traditional Georgian-style Great House setting. This beachfront
resort is the epitome of understated elegance with breakfast in bed,
afternoon tea, four gourmet restaurants including an exotic
Indonesian restaurant on a private offshore Island. Sandals
Royal Caribbean, because you deserve the Royal treatment.
Sandals
Royal Caribbean is truly ultra-all inclusive.

The
Sandals Check-in:
From the
moment we entered the resort property, Sandals Royal Caribbean was a
dream come true. We were seated in the grand lobby where within
minutes we were receiving not only our check-in papers but a cool
face cloth and a refreshing drink. Once checked in, we were escorted
to our room by a friendly staff member who gladly handled our luggage.
The
Room:
Our room was
located on the top floor of a three story building at the far end of
the beach. The view was extraordinary. Our room overlooked a
beautiful pool and hot tub as well as a more private beach and of
course, the ocean. We enjoyed this view so much that we spent most
mornings eating breakfast on the balcony ... continental breakfast
delivered to your room is included of course. The room was large with
a beautiful four poster bed, dressing area and a comfortable and
clean bathroom. With shutter-like doors and windows on the balcony,
we didn't even require air conditioning at night as there was always
a nice breeze that went through the room.

The
Beach:
If spending
your days on the beach is your thing, this is the resort for you. The
beach at the Royal Caribbean is truly beautiful. It is a charming
beach that has three distinctive coves which makes it feel very
private and romantic. The resort is merely a couple 100 from the
water's edge so you are never far from your room, the pool, or for
that matter the bars and restaurants. With palm trees and huts for
shade from the sun, you could easily spend the entire day at the
water's edge.
Water
Sports:
Would you
believe that Sandals water sports are ultra all inclusive too? There
are few time limits or restrictions regarding the use of catamarans,
kayaks and sailboards. The water sports team is very friendly and
offer free lessons to any guest who may need instruction. They have
plenty of equipment and there is rarely a wait to go out and enjoy
the water. Sandals water sports are fantastic!
Sports
and Activities:
There is
plenty to do at Sandals Royal Caribbean including day/night tennis,
beach and pool volleyball, croquet, table tennis, billiards and
shuffleboard. Golf is not included but is available nearby. For those
who want to work-out there is a fitness center complete with
satellite television available as well. If you want to meet new
people and have lots of fun you can participate in the Sandals
organized activities where you can earn coveted Sandals key chains
and necklaces. These activities include but are not limited to pool
volleyball, lawn bowling, beach volleyball and scavenger hunts. They
are plenty of fun to do and just as fun to cheer on!
Sandals
Dining:
The ultimate
in ultra all inclusive, dining at Sandals is among the finest in the
world. Sandals prides itself in recruiting world-renowned chefs to
ensure that the Sandals guest experiences an extraordinary dining
experience. The Royal Caribbean features four restaurants and a beach
grill where you can have anytime snacks.
-
The Regency:
A colonial style centerpiece where a superb international menu is
complemented by views of the ocean and spectacular sunsets. Whether
dining indoors or outdoors, fantastic food and service set the
standard for a great evening. We particularly enjoyed eating on the
deck outside as the views of the beach and ocean were just phenomenal.
-
The Courtyard:
The Courtyard is a great place for breakfast or dinner, offering a
variety of sumptuous feasts, including select grilled specialties,
all served on an open-air patio with stately columns draped in
bougainvillea. We were pleased to be able to share in a friend's
wedding while at the Royal Caribbean and the wedding dinner was
served at the Courtyard. It was a great setting - very intimate.
-
The Royal Thai:
Located on an offshore private island, this is an authentic
Indonesian restaurant where chefs create masterful and delicious
Indonesian delicacies to satisfy any appetite. Dining on the exotic
offshore island seems like high adventure in the South Pacific. If
you are a fan of Thai food or just willing to try something new, you
will love the Royal Thai! The Sandals Wayang Doll brings the guests
across the water to the island where your Thai experience awaits. The
views from here are incredible and the food again is extraordinary.
Reservations are required and are included of course.
-
The Pavillion:
If native Jamaican cuisine is what you're seeking, the casual al
fresco style ambiance and white glove service of The Pavilion is the
perfect place to experience it. Although we spent seven days at the
Royal Caribbean, we were so busy enjoying ourselves and visiting the
nearby Sandals Montego Bay, we did not get a chance to eat at the
Pavillion. However, friends told us they enjoyed the food tremendously.
Once per week
there is a beach party where the Chefs and staff prepare numerous
grilled dishes, salads and more and present it all on the beach. This
night is a lot of fun because the atmosphere is lively, the food and
beverages are great and of course you are on the beach! Later, the
party develops into rhythmic dancing with fire breathing
entertainers. The Beach party is definitely a fun and lively evening,
one you do not want to miss.
Weddings:
While at the
Royal Caribbean my husband and I had the pleasure of attending our
friends' wedding. The wedding organizer was very helpful with
planning the details. The bride had her hair styled at the onsite
salon as well as a manicure and pedicure. She looked beautiful and
was very pleased with the salons service. The wedding went off
without a hitch and it was so beautiful. The happy couple was married
on the beach standing amongst fresh cut flowers shaped in a heart.
After the ceremony, the party of eight enjoyed champagne and cake
outside in the garden in an area set up just for us. Later that
evening, we all enjoyed a special wedding dinner in the very romantic
Courtyard restaurant. It was very special and a day we will all remember.
In
Conclusion
Sandals
Royal Caribbean was everything I had dreamed it could be! It was
a vacation I will not soon forget and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! |
